Payment of the 2026 Hajj Bipih in East Lombok Baru 21 Percent, Kemenhaj reminds the deadline is getting closer
East Lombok - The Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) of East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), noted that the progress of the payment of the Hajj Travel Fee (Bipih) for departure in 2026 is still relatively low, only 21 percent.
Head of the East Lombok Kemenag Office Makinudin Masud said that until now only 291 prospective pilgrims had paid Bipih from a total quota of 1,374 people in East Lombok.
"Of the total quota of 1,374 people, only 291 people or about 21 percent have made a payment," said Makinudin in East Lombok, Antara, Wednesday, December 17.
The government has set a deadline for the first phase of repayment on December 23, 2025. With the time left getting shorter, his party urges prospective pilgrims to immediately complete the repayment obligation.
Makinudin emphasized that the payment of Bipih does not only depend on financial readiness. Prospective Hajj pilgrims must first have a status of health istita'ah or a health certificate issued by the Health Service (Dinkes).
"The istita'ah process must be carried out. If the prospective pilgrims do not get the results of istita'ah, even though they are financially capable, they still cannot make a payment," he said.
To pursue the target, the East Lombok Ministry of Religion continues to synergize with the East Lombok Health Office and the ranks at the sub-district level to accelerate the process of health examination for prospective Hajj pilgrims.
He said that his party targeted at least 85 percent to 100 percent of prospective pilgrims could complete the payment in the first phase. If there is still a quota limit by the deadline, then the second phase of payment will be opened.
"The second phase of repayment is intended for prospective pilgrims who have failed the system in the first phase and prospective pilgrims whose health is not complete," he said.
Makinudin hopes that all prospective pilgrims from East Lombok will immediately follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) for health examinations at the designated health centers or regional hospitals.
