Solar, 6 Vehicles and 31 Jeriken Seized by Bungo Jambi Police
Bungo - The Bungo Police (Polres), Jambi Police, confiscated 31 jerrycans containing subsidized fuel oil (BBM) of the solar type from illegal logging activities in Tanah Sepenggal Lintas District, Bungo Regency.
Bungo Police Chief AKBP Natalena Eko Cahyono said the disclosure of the subsidy fuel fraud began when officers carried out a crackdown on subsidized fuel filling at the Lubuk Landai gas station, Tanah Sepenggal Lintas District.
"From the results of the action, officers secured 31 jeriken containing subsidized solar fuel found in the warehouse, on the vehicle, and in the front of the house," said Natalena in Bungo, Antara, Wednesday, December 17.
On the way to the enforcement location, officers found suspicious activity at one of the residents' houses on the side of the road. A number of vehicles were seen moving solar fuel from the vehicle's tank into jeriken.
The officers then stopped the activity and secured a number of people at the location along with evidence. In the hand-to-hand operation, the police also seized a number of hoses used to transfer fuel from the vehicle's tank to the jeriken.
In addition to the jeriken and hose, the police also secured six vehicles that were suspected of being used to launch subsidized fuel. The vehicles consisted of several units of minibus cars and other vehicles with various police numbers.
Natalena emphasized that during the implementation of the action, the situation was safe, orderly, and conducive. All vehicles, jeriken containing subsidized gasoline, as well as the owners and parties involved in the transfer of fuel were secured to the Bungo Police.
"Furthermore, all evidence and parties involved are handed over to the Criminal Investigation Unit for legal proceedings in accordance with applicable regulations," said Natalena. He added that the Bungo Police were committed to continuing to monitor and take action against the misuse of subsidized fuel to maintain distribution justice and protect the interests of the wider community.
