Hongqi HS6 PHEV Officially Launched, Combined Mileage Reaches 1,650 Km

JAKARTA - FAW Hongqi officially launched its latest SUV, the HS6, for the Chinese market, which comes in three variants and is priced from 178,800 to 228,800 yuan or a range of Rp423-542 million.

Quoting from the Carnewschina website, Wednesday, December 17, this car is equipped with a PHEV powertrain that offers an impressive pure electric range of up to 248 km and a combined range of 1650 km.

In terms of exterior appearance, the Hongqi HS6 PHEV features a typical Hongqi grill, a design language developed during the brand's internal combustion engine era and inherited from the 1958 Hongqi CA72.

The blacked-out headlights are complemented by chrome trim and a prominent Hongqi logo on the hood. The vehicle is available in four exterior colors including black and blue.

In terms of size, the new SUV has a length of 4,925 mm, a width of 1,970 mm, and a height of 1,740 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,925 mm. The rear design features taillights that subtly resemble the Hongqi logo.

Entering the cabin, the interior features a small rectangular LCD instrument panel integrated and a two-color three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The center console is dominated by a dual screen arrangement, including a multimedia screen and a passenger screen, both measuring 15.6 inches with a 2.5K resolution and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip.

The second row is equipped with a large capacity refrigerator and electric seat adjustment, with the top-of-the-line variant offering ventilation and heating functions for the rear seats.

Under the hood, the Hongqi HS6 PHEV is powered by a 1.5T PHEV system, the engine produces a maximum output of 110 kW. Its electric motor configuration includes a 168 kW (225 hp) front motor for a two-wheel drive model, or a combination of a 168 kW (225 hp) front motor and a 201 kW (270 hp) rear motor for all-wheel drive variants.

This vehicle offers two battery specifications with a capacity of 23 kWh and 40 kWh that offer a range of 248 km, with a combined range with gasoline reaching 1650 km.
