Officially Launched Starting at Rp235 Million, Here is the Retro-Style Electric Crossover GWM Ora 5
JAKARTA - Great Wall Motor (GWM) officially launched the Ora 5 in China which was priced starting from 99,800 yuan or around Rp. 235 million. This car is positioned as an urban crossover that is suitable for all walks of life.
Citing the Carnewschina website, Wednesday, December 17, many thought that this car was an Ora 03 because of its similar design. However, this model comes with larger dimensions.

Ora 5 has a length of 4,471 mm, a width of 1,833 mm, a height of 1,641 mm with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. In terms of design, it is similar to its younger brother (Ora 3) which offers a modern retro impression.
Moving to the cabin, the Ora 5 adopts a large 15.6-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel. The car's infotainment system is powered by the Coffee OS 3 system, similar to some of GWM's high-end models such as the Tank 400 and Tank 500.

Currently, Ora 5 is only available in the BEV version which uses a single electric motor with a power of 150 kW (201 hp). Its power is supported by two SVOLT LFP batteries with a capacity of 45.3 and 58.3 kWh.
The entry-level model can travel up to 480 km on a single charge. The larger battery pack can travel up to 580 km in CLTC conditions.
In the future, the Ora 5 will be available to buy with PHEV, HEV, and ICE powertrain variants. The hybrid variant of this car will use a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor and a small battery without external charging function. The combined power output of this system is 179 kW (240 hp). The ICE variant will use a 1.5-liter engine for 130 kW (174 hp) with a 7DCT transmission.
Unfortunately, information about the PHEV version is still not available until now. With its presence in the Chinese market, will it be present in Indonesia? The reason is that the Ora 03 is already present in the automotive market in the country.
