YouTube Tests Gemini 3-Based Playables Builder, Makes Games with Just One Command

JAKARTA - YouTube announced that it has launched a closed beta test for Playables Builder, a prototype web application that allows users to create games instantly.

Developed with the support of Google's latest artificial intelligence (AI) model, Gemini 3, users only need to use a text, video, or image prompt to create a game.

Playable Builder is designed to simplify the game creation process and expand creators' access to the development of interactive content without the need for in-depth technical skills.

"YouTube is launching a closed beta test for Playables Builder, a web application prototype built using Gemini 3 where users create games with short text, video, or image instructions," YouTube wrote in its announcement on the X @YouTubeGaming account.

In this initial phase, YouTube has also partnered with a number of global creators to start experimenting with their new platform.

Some of the creators involved include @sambucha, @AyChristene, @goharsguide, and @Mogswamp, who will test the Playables Builder's ability to create games based on short ideas and visual content.

This move marks YouTube's efforts to expand the YouTube Playables ecosystem, while encouraging convergence between video content, games, and generative AI technology.

Although there is no exact date for its full release, with a prompt-based approach, YouTube hopes that Playables Builder can open up new opportunities for creators to present more personal and innovative interactive experiences to their audiences.
