Minister of Finance Purbaya Explains the Ministry's Reason for Returning the Budget

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa explained that a number of ministries and agencies had returned the budget.

However, Minister of Finance Purbaya did not want to mention which ministries and agencies returned the budget. This was conveyed by Purbaya to reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 16.

According to the Minister of Finance, Purbaya, there are around Rp. 3.5 - 4.5 trillion in the budget that was returned to the Ministry of Finance.

The reason is that it cannot spend its budget. According to Purbaya, from the existing data, there has never been a ministry that has 100 percent absorbed the budget every year.

At most, according to the Minister of Finance Purbaya, it only reaches 90 percent of its absorption.
