Madonna Reunites with Guy Ritchie, 17 Years After Custody Conflict
JAKARTA - Singer Madonna reunited with her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, for the first time in 17 years. The two separated in a divorce and custody conflict that was famous at the time.
The two were married from 2000 to 2008 and had a son named Rocco and adopted a son named David. After they separated, the two had conflicts over custody of their children.
Their first child refused to live in the United States and chose to settle in England with his father. The court granted the request, which made Madonna admit that she wanted to end her life.
"There were moments in my life when I wanted to end it. One of them was when I couldn't see the trees in the forest because of a custody conflict over my child," Madonna said in a Jay Shetty broadcast.
Despite their conflict in the past, they now gather to support their children who held an exhibition titled Talk is Cheap. This exhibition was held in Soho, which was attended by both parents.
Rocco who posted a photo of the two of them was seen standing in front of one of his paintings. In addition to the photo, the description written by Rocco became a concern.
"Obviously there are some people who will judge me, I don't blame them. Anyway, I'm proud of myself, but I'm more proud to see my parents together in one room supporting me," wrote Rocco.
Madonna herself is currently dating 29-year-old footballer Akeem Morris. She also has seven children from different marriages.
Guy Ritchie has been married to model Jacqui Ainsley since 2015 and has three children.
