Terima Petunjuk Ahli, Polda NTB Ekspose Ulang Kasus Tambang Emas Ilegal Sekotong
JAKARTA - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda) rescheduled the exposure of the illegal gold mining case in the Sekotong hills area, West Lombok Regency, after receiving instructions from criminal experts.
"So, there are some improvements from experts, so the title of the case is rescheduled," said the Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police, Commissioner General of Police Fx. Endriadi in Mataram, Tuesday, quoted by Antara.
The instructions from the criminal expert were received after investigators conducted an examination on Monday, December 15. Based on the instructions, the exposure of the case was rescheduled.
Regarding the material that became the expert's guidance to make an expose of the case to see the potential for this crime to be postponed, Endriadi chose not to reveal it to the public.
"Technically, it is the consumption of investigators," he said.
He only said that in fulfilling the instructions of criminal experts, investigators at the West Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit still had to examine two witnesses.
"Two witnesses and experts will be examined by us before we hold a trial," he said.
Regarding the presence of Chinese foreign nationals (WNA) who are suspected of working at the mine site, Endriadi explained that his party is still continuing to build coordination with the International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol.
In handling this case, the investigators of the West Lombok Police together with the NTB Police and the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the National Police have descended to the location which has now been equipped with police lines.
Endriadi added that in the future, both the police, the NTB Police, and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police will continue to monitor the location of the unlicensed mining.
