Died Today, the Investigation of the Former Head of the East Java DPRD Grant Fund was Stopped by the KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that the investigation into the alleged bribery of community group (pokmas) grants for East Java Province in 2019-2022 against Kusnadi, former East Java DPRD Chairman, will be stopped.

This statement was made by the acting (Plt) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, in response to information that Kusnadi died today, December 16. The former Chairman of the East Java DPD PDIP breathed his last breath at the IGD dr. Soetomo Surabaya.

"Especially the case with the suspect Kusnadi was stopped for the sake of the law because the suspect died," Asep told reporters when confirmed, Tuesday, December 16.

The termination of this case is in accordance with Article 40 of Law Number 19 of 2019.

"That the KPK can stop its investigation, including for the deceased suspect," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo when confirmed separately.

Meanwhile, for the other 20 suspects, Budi said, they still have to be held accountable for their actions. "The investigation continues," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK has announced 21 suspects of bribery in the management of grant funds for community groups (pokmas) in East Java Province in 2019-2022. Among them are Kusnadi as the former Chairman of the East Java Provincial DPRD and DPR RI legislator Anwar Sadad who had served as Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD.

This case is an expansion of the hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that caught Sahat Tua P. Simanjuntak as Deputy Chairman of the East Java Provincial DPRD for the 2019-2024 period.

As the grantor: 1. MHD (Mahud) - Member of the East Java Provincial DPRD 2019-2024. 2. FA (Fauzan Adima) - Deputy Chairman of the Sampang Regency DPRD 2019-2024. 3. JJ (Jon Junaidi) - Deputy Chairman of the Probolinggo Regency DPRD 2019-2024. 4. AH (Ahmad Heriyadi) - Private from Sampang Regency. 5. AA (Ahmad Affandy) - Private from Sampang Regency. 6. AM (Abdul Motollib) - Private from Sampang Regency. 7. MM (Moch Mahrus) - Private from Probolinggo Regency (currently a member of the East Java DPRD 2024-2029). 8.
