Immigration Holds Operation to Watch Over Foreign Workers in Pangkalpinang Mining Babel
JAKARTA - The Immigration Office of Class I TPI Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel) held a Wirawaspada Operation to ensure that foreign workers (TKA) working in tin and energy mining companies comply with applicable immigration regulations.
"This operation is to ensure that all foreign activities are in accordance with applicable laws," said Head of the Class I Immigration Office of the TPI Pangkalpinang, Ahmad Khumaidi in Pangkalpinang, Tuesday, quoted by Antara.
He said, Wirawaspada is an immigration surveillance operation that is carried out simultaneously throughout Indonesia as an effort to ensure foreign nationals comply with immigration regulations and maintain regional security stability.
"This operation is a tangible form of active supervision by Immigration in ensuring that all foreigners comply with the provisions of residence permits and immigration activities that apply, as well as an effort to maintain security and order in the region," he said.
He stated that during the operation, the team carried out supervision of a number of companies in the mining and energy sectors, including PT Alam Gemilang Energi, PT Buana Bahari Mining, PT Radhika Adifa Dzaki, PT Elisa Utama, PT Bangka Mining Service, PT Saranova Neola Energi, PT Mustika Alam Segara, PT Babelonia Internasional and PT Tanjung Bukit Nunggal and Ponton Isap Production in the waters of Sampur. Supervision is carried out through verification of Production Suction Vessel (KIP) data and direct coordination with the company.
During the examination at the PT Tanjung Bukit Nunggal employee mess, officers found one Chinese citizen, Zheng Changjian, who worked as a Mechanical Engineer at PT Trintan Project Solution which is a company that works with PT Tanjung Bukit Nunggal. Based on the results of the examination, the person concerned has a Limited Residence Permit which is still valid until September 25, 2026.

Furthermore, immigration supervision is carried out in the waters of Sampur, Central Bangka Regency, specifically at the Production Isap Pontoon. Based on the results of field monitoring, 233 Production Isap Pontoons were recorded under the CV built by PT Timah. From the results of the checks carried out, no foreign people were found at all Production Isap Pontoons at the location.
"We emphasize to all officers to carry out their duties humanely, professionally, and according to standard operating procedures, so that supervision can run effectively without neglecting the rights of each individual," he said.
He said that from the entire series of Operation Wirawaspada, no immigration violations were found. The activity ran smoothly, safely, and conducive, and was closed with consolidation and evaluation of the results of the operation.
