Nagan Raya-Aceh Tengah Line Open, Residents Pass Emergency Bridge from Tree

NAGAN RAYA - The Nagan Raya Regency Government, Aceh Province, has ensured that the cross-provincial route connecting Nagan Raya-Central Aceh, which was previously cut off due to flash floods, can now be crossed using an emergency bridge from the remaining trees of the natural disaster.

"Alhamdulillah, currently the access that was cut off can be passed through the emergency bridge. However, we need to convey that this access can only be used by motorbikes," said the Regent of Nagan Raya, Teuku Raja Keumangan to ANTARA, Tuesday, December 16.

According to him, the access isolation from Central Aceh Regency to Nagan Raya Regency through Beutong Ateuh Banggalang District is now starting to open, following the opening of an emergency bridge in the area.

He said that the condition of the bridge was not completely normal, considering the mobility of the community, distribution of logistics, and emergency services were still very limited because four-wheeled vehicles could not pass.

Regent Teuku Raja Keumangan said the emergency bridge that currently exists not only opens access for people between villages in Beutong Ateuh Banggalang, but also begins to be crowded by people in Central Aceh to shop in Nagan Raya and Meulaboh, the capital of West Aceh Regency.
