Kalianda - The South Lampung Regency Government has reiterated its commitment to provide certainty of pension rights for civil servants (ASN) by ensuring that the issuance of the Retirement Decree (SK) is carried out on time.

The Secretary of the Lampung South Human Resources and Training Agency (BKD) Dharma Kurniawan said that the retirement SK was targeted to be issued and received by civil servants (PNS) no later than six months before the date of the retirement age limit.

"Our target is six months before the date of retirement age, the retirement decree has been issued and received by the civil servant concerned," said Dharma in Kalianda, Antara, Tuesday, December 16.

To ensure that the target is achieved, the South Lampung BKD held a socialization of the integrated civil servant pension service in 2025 at the Sebesi Hall, South Lampung PKK Building, Monday.

According to Dharma, this socialization aims to realize targeted retirement services, ranging from timeliness, accuracy of recipients, number, place, to completeness of administration.

"This activity was attended by 366 civil servants and became a strategic step for the local government so that the retirement process runs on time, administrative order, and provides a sense of security and certainty for the apparatus that will enter the post-service period," he said.

He explained that the socialization participants were civil servants who would reach the retirement age limit (BUP) in the period from January 1 to December 1, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Acting General Administration Assistant of the South Lampung Regency District Secretariat, Edy Firnandi, emphasized that retirement is not the end of the service of an apparatus.

"Retirement is not a time to stop working, but a transition phase, from serving the government system to a wider service in the community," said Edy.

He added that the implementation of the socialization was a form of respect for the local government to ASN who had devoted themselves for decades. The local government, he said, did not want pension rights to become a psychological burden at the end of their service.
