Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Anindya Bakrie Absent from the First Hearing of the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lawsuit
BANDUNG - The South Jakarta District Court held the first hearing in the lawsuit filed by Kadin (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) officials in West Java, represented by the Garut and Indramayu Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) against the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) on Monday, December 15, 2025.
The first hearing, presided over by Chief Judge Eman Sulaeman, SH, with two judges: Isabela Samelina, SH, and Sulistiyanto Rokhmad Budiharto, SH, only focused on clarifying the plaintiff and defendant's information.
Of the eight defendants, three were absent: Kadin Indonesia, represented by its General Chairman Anindya Bakrie; Kadin Indonesia's Deputy Chairman for Organizational Affairs Taufan Eko Nugroho; and Kadin Indonesia's Deputy Chairman Widiyanto Saputro.
Present at the first hearing were Deputy Chairman Erwin Aksa, represented by his attorney; Almer Faiqh Rusidy; Kadin Indonesia's Deputy Chairman Agung Suryamal; and Kadin officials Zoelkifli Adam and Cucu Sutara.
After the hearing, Roy Sianipar, SH, MH, the plaintiff's attorney, expressed his regret that several defendants were absent, not even having representatives.
"Hopefully, they can attend the second hearing," Roy said.
Ready To Fight
In his statement, Roy stated that he was ready to fight legally.
Roy, accompanied by another attorney, Cacan Cahyadi, SH, believes that the lawsuit challenging the validity of the West Java Kadin Provincial Conference (Muprov) in Bogor, which resulted in the appointment of Almer Faiq Rusyidi as Chairman of Kadin Jabar, is invalid.
According to Roy, the West Java Kadin Provincial Conference in Bogor, held on September 24, 2025, was forced without reference to legislation, Articles of Association, and Organizational Regulations.
Therefore, Roy asserted that the court must annul the entire implementation and products of the West Java Kadin Provincial Conference (Muprov) in Bogor City.
Because the legal proceedings are ongoing, Roy reminded that until a final and binding decision is issued, the Indonesian Kadin must first suspend the West Java Kadin leadership, including the inauguration of Almer Faiq Rusidy in Cirebon on November 17, 2025.
"Based on the evidence and facts presented in the upcoming trial, I am confident the court will annul the entire implementation and products of the provincial conference (Muprov) in Bogor City, as well as all legal actions, including the inauguration and inauguration of the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) in Cirebon on November 17, 2025," he asserted.
It is known that there has been turmoil within the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) management. Two Muprovs were held in Bandung and Bogor on the same day, September 24, 2025.
The Bogor Muprov resulted in Almer Faiq Rusydi as chairman, and the Bandung Muprov resulted in Nizar Sungkar as chairman.
The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's efforts to resolve the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin)'s disputes were deemed to have violated regulations, relying solely on the wishes of officials in West Java, thus violating the Articles of Association (AD/ART).
The proposed compromise, proposed by the Bandung Muprov management, to hold another Muprov, was ignored by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
