Dudy also conveyed that the government provided stimulus for the transportation sector in the form of discounted fares and tickets to ease the burden of the community during the Christmas holiday period. This policy involves cross-ministerial coordination and State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
"The stimulus for a 20 percent discount on toll rates on 26 toll roads, namely on December 22, 23, and 31. As for last year 2024, only 10 percent was given for 12 toll roads. The air transportation stimulus in the form of a 13 to 14 percent discount on tickets for the travel period from December 22 to January 10, 2026," said Dudy.
Furthermore, the Minister of Transportation emphasized that there were two strategic issues that were the focus of the management of the Nataru 2025-2026 transportation, namely the potential for passenger surges and the risk of extreme weather.
