2025 SEA Games Volleyball Results: Indonesian Women's Team Gets Bronze
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team managed to bring home the bronze medal from the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand after defeating the Philippines in a dramatic match.
The clash between the two countries took place at the Huamark Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, on Monday, December 15, 2025. The duel was fierce with a final score of 3-1 (28-26, 13-25, 30-28, and 26-24).
In the first set, the Indonesian women's squad immediately pressed and scored three consecutive points to put pressure on their opponents. However, the Philippines immediately responded to equalize the score and even returned to lead 14-11.

Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi and her colleagues then got up and gave a surprise with seven consecutive points. However, the Philippines slowly began to stick before winning 25-24 in crucial points.
The fight to lock in the victory in the set was getting more intense after Indonesia tied the score. The Philippines did not slacken and even added one more point.
After losing the first set, the Philippines started the second set ferociously to get three in a row. Their dominance after that was really unstoppable so the score was tied 1-1.
The Philippines also managed to lead by two points at the start of the third set before Indonesia scored seven points to take the lead. Although far behind, the Philippines did not give up and finally managed to score 12-12.
The Indonesian point crane was again open with four consecutive points, but it was still chased by the opponent. As in the first set, the chase for the numbers was hot after that and Indonesia finally won narrowly.
The alternate drama scored points and was ahead of each other in the fourth game. Indonesia, who needed to win to end the match sooner, had to fall behind first with a score of 3-6.
The situation did not last long because after that Indonesia successfully led by five points 13-8. The Philippines showed a high fighting spirit to equalize the score at 19-19 and 23-23. However, they finally had to be content with only adding one point.
The gold medal from the women's volleyball was secured by the host. They won a dramatic 3-2 over Vietnam who returned home with a silver medal from the biennial event.
