SEA Games 2025: Athletics and Shooting Contribute Gold Again

JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent's gold medal collection increased again at the 2025 SEA Games on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 19.40 WIB. Two gold medals were contributed from the sports (cabor) athletics and shooting.

From athletics, there is Abdul Hafiz - javelin thrower - who contributed the 52nd gold for Indonesia. He made a brilliant achievement in the athletics arena through the men's javelin throw with a throw distance of 72.82 meters at the National Stadium, Bangkok.

His best throw brought the Red and White flag back to fly at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games.

The silver medal was also won by the Indonesian representative, Silfanus Ndiken, who successfully threw 71.99 meters.

Meanwhile, the third place or bronze medal belongs to the host athlete Thailand, Wachirawit Sornwichai, who recorded a throw of 69.62 meters.

Before the 52nd gold medal presented by Abdul Hafiz in the athletics event, the 51st gold medal was won by the shooting athlete, Vincentius Djajadiningrat.

Vincentius managed to maintain his position at the top of the standings in the practical shooting number production individual men's so he was entitled to the gold medal.

He has even been in the top zone of the standings since the first day of the practical shooting sports. After being in second place on the first day, Saturday, December 13, 2025, Vincentius took first place on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

On the last day of the men's practical shooting competition, Monday, December 15, 2025, the Indonesian flag is sure to fly at the highest pole thanks to Vincentius who outperformed his rivals.

These two additional golds make Indonesia strong in second place in the provisional standings of the 2025 SEA Games with 52 gold medals.

Meanwhile, before Vincentius, the shooting event had bagged two gold medals today through the men's 10m air pistol event which was led by Sulthanul Aulia Maruf, Muhamad Iqbal Raia Prabowo, and Wira Sukmana and the mixed team 10m air pistol event from the pair of Arista Pernada Putri Darmoyo/Muhamad Iqbal Raia Prabowo.

Shifting to athletics, before the contribution of gold from Abdul Hafiz, the sport had already bagged seven golds.
