Mass Returns to Demo at BSI Office, Police Emphasizes that the Demand for Assistance Funds is Unfounded
JAKARTA - A number of masses have again held a demonstration in front of the Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) office at the Alam Sutra By Tower Building, Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, on Monday, December 15, 2025 afternoon. Their demands are still the same as the previous action, namely asking for the disbursement of assistance funds which they claim have not been received.
Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, confirmed the action. However, he emphasized that the mass demands related to the disbursement of the assistance funds had no basis.
"It is true that there is a mass that came to BSI to demand something that actually never existed in the conditions at BSI. This has been clarified and conveyed by BSI to the media," he said when confirmed by VOI, Monday, December 15, 2025.
Even so, the Metro Jaya Police will still carry out security to maintain a conducive situation during the action. Budi appealed to the participants of the action to comply with the rules and regulations in force.
"We will continue to provide security services at the BSI location. We appeal to the masses to comply with the rules because the BSI location is on the side of the road which is a busy road and there are still many other road users that we must respect," he concluded.
