West Java Police Arrest Resbob Related to Hate Speech Insulting Sunda
BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police arrested a YouTuber Adimas Firdaus or known as Resbob related to content that was suspected of containing hate speech on social media.
Head of Huas of the West Java Police, Kombes Hendra Rochmawan, said that Resbob was secured by the police in East Java.
"The perpetrator of hate speech on behalf of Resbob has been secured in East Java," said Hendra in Bandung, Monday, December 15, reported by ANTARA.
Hendra explained that after being secured, the person concerned was immediately taken to Jakarta to undergo an initial examination by investigators.
According to him, after the initial examination process is completed, Resbob will be taken to Bandung to undergo further investigation by the West Java Police.
Hendra said the content was considered insulting to the Sundanese people and Persib Bandung supporters, so it was suspected of violating the Information and Electronic Transaction Law (ITE Law).
He explained that the report from the Persib support group was recorded with the number LP/B/674/XII/2025/SPKT/Polda West Java dated December 11, 2025 on behalf of the reporter Ferdy Rizky Adilya.

In addition, the West Java Police also received a complaint report from the Sunda Ngahiji Alliance House community with number 2021/XII/RES.2.5./2025/Ditressiber on behalf of the reporter Deni Suwardi.
Hendra said the suspect was suspected of violating Article 45A paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph (2) of the ITE Law, as well as other articles related to the dissemination of content containing hatred against certain groups based on ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup (SARA).
"The threat of imprisonment for a maximum of six years and/or a fine of up to Rp1 billion," he said.
