Privacy Interrupted, Agency Warns TWICE Fans about Security

JAKARTA - JYP Entertainment as an agency released a statement containing a warning to TWICE fans. They responded after the privacy of several members was disturbed outside their schedule.

"Recently, in personal activities, there have been several cases of excessive approaches, recordings, attempts to talk, and phone calls experienced by artists. These actions can cause discomfort, considering the artists who often travel," wrote JYP Entertainment on Monday, December 15.

They asked fans not to record when seeing TWICE members in their private time. This private time also includes time to vacation privately or with family.

"Filming outside of schedules, especially personal time such as plane travel, vacations, visits to family homes, and private activities violates their privacy. We ask you to respect the time and distance of the artist," the agency explained.

They also asked fans not to record people around TWICE members, such as their family members or friends.

"When artists are accompanied by family members, friends, or other individuals, we ask that they not record or distribute their photos online. Respecting the people around them is just as important," he said.

Members are also often approached by people who try to communicate, even asking for their personal numbers or giving gifts, which are also prohibited by the agency.

"Taking such action has even been warned that it is not supported," the agency said.

"Blocking an artist from filming or recording from close range, at a time or place can cause security reasons. For the safety of everyone, we ask you to keep a decent distance," he said.

If this continues to happen, the agency will take the necessary actions to protect TWICE members.

In addition, TWICE itself is currently undergoing the THIS IS FOR world tour throughout this year.
