Woman in Bali who died after being swept away by flood in Kuta Russian citizen
BADUNG - The police finally have the identity of the Foreign Citizen (WNA) who died because he broke through the flood on Krisnantara Street, Tibubeneng Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, on Sunday (14/12) morning.
Kapolres Badung AKBP M. Arif Batubara said the victim was known as KK (30), a Russian citizen. The victim is suspected of losing control when he deliberately broke through the flood.
"The victim was dragged by the current along with his vehicle until it entered under the bridge. We have handled it according to procedures and coordinated with related agencies and the consulate," said AKBP M. Arif Batubara, Monday, December 15.
He also appealed to the public to increase vigilance, especially during heavy rain.
"We remind the public not to force themselves to cross flooded roads or bridges. Safety must be the top priority," he said.

Previously, the discovery of the body of a foreign national (WNA) woman caused a commotion on Krisnantara Street, Tibubeneng Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, on Sunday (14/12).
The victim was stuck in the manhole after the victim tried to break through the flood during heavy rain.
From the testimony of witnesses, the incident occurred at around 01.10 WITA in the early morning. The victim was swept away when he broke through the flood when crossing the bridge or on Krisnantara Street, Tibubeneng Village.
"The foreigner was dragged along with his motorcycle," he added.
The victim was then found at 04.40 WITA by residents, when the river receded under the bridge to Canggu Pertiwi in a dead state.
