Polri Will Immediately Announce the Suspects Related to the North Sumatra Disaster
JAKARTA - The Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Dittipidter) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police will soon announce the suspects related to the flood disaster that occurred in North Sumatra.
"Who is the suspect, we will announce to the public, maybe this weekend. We will make sure first the witnesses, other evidence that strengthens us to ask for criminal accountability, both individually and corporately," said Tipidter Director Brigadier General. Irhamni at the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, Monday, December 15, reported by ANTARA.
Irhamni said Dittipidter had started the investigation process related to the North Sumatra flood disaster at the scene of the Garoga River Basin (DAS), South Tapanuli, to the Anggoli River, Central Tapanuli.
The results of the identification of logs at the crime scene showed that most of the wood came from PT TBS.
In the process, a total of 16 witnesses from PT TBS have also been examined.
"Sixteen witnesses for PT TBS employees. Later it will develop who should be responsible for it. In the investigation process, we are looking for who is responsible, who is the suspect," he said.
Previously, the Bareskrim Polri Dittipidter took 27 wood samples at the DASGaroga.
The results of the examination showed that the dominant types of wood were rubber, ketapang, durian, and others. The wood that has been taken has also been specified and categorized by experts.
The identification showed that the discarded wood was the result of sawing, the result was pulled out along with the roots with heavy equipment, the result was a landslide, and the result was a loader.
In addition, when the joint team arrived at the crime scene, they found two excavators and one bulldozer which were then secured.
The findings of the heavy equipment were investigated to find out the identity of the operator and the ownership of the equipment and the activities carried out.
