Prabowo Gives Directions to Accelerate Papua Development Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian said President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, is scheduled to give directions on accelerating the development of Papua.

The Minister of Home Affairs explained that the President would give directions in the meeting on the concept of Papua development at the Palace.

"Tomorrow (Tuesday, 16/12) at 15.00 WIB, the President will give directions on steps to accelerate development in Papua," said the Minister of Home Affairs at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Jakarta, Monday, December 15, reported by ANTARA.

According to him, the President has a very strong desire to accelerate development in Papua.

Therefore, said the Minister of Home Affairs, all officials in the central government to Papuan figures will attend the meeting scheduled for tomorrow.

"Tomorrow (Tuesday, 16/12) with all regional heads, committees, figures from all over Papua, yes, and also with a number of ministries/institutions, ministers to heads of institutions," he said.

Meanwhile, in preparation for the meeting with President Prabowo on Tuesday (16/12), the Minister of Home Affairs held a meeting with the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of the Development of Special Autonomy for Papua, as well as all governors and regents/mayors throughout Papua Island on Monday (15/12).

Then, the Minister of Home Affairs together with the Committee held a meeting first on Tuesday (15/12) before meeting the President, namely at the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas).
