Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic RPG Announced, Still in Development

JAKARTA - During the 2025 Game Awards, Arcanaut Studios in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games announced that it will release its latest game titled Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic.

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is a first-person action role-playing game (RPG), led by game director Casey Hudson, director of the original Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect series.

"Working on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was one of the most memorable experiences of my career," said Casey Hudson, Game Director at Arcanaut Studios in a statement in Arcanaut Studios' official release.

"With Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, we're telling a completely new and different story with everything we've learned since then - creating an adventure about choice, destiny, and the eternal struggle between light and dark," he added.

Meanwhile, VP and GM of Lucasfilm Games, Douglas Reilly, also expressed his pride at being chosen as the development partner for this famous galaxy game series, together with Arcanaut Studios.

There is no exact date for the launch, but the developer confirmed that Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is in the early development stage for PC and consoles.
