Komdigi and KP2MI Collaborate to Prevent Fake Job Scam in the Digital Space
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital has worked with the Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) to close the gap in online job scams that often ensnare prospective PMI.
The Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, emphasized that the digital space is now the main door for job search, so the state must be present from the beginning to prevent citizens from being trapped by false information.
Seeing this fact, Meutya, who is also the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, emphasized the importance of the state's role in protecting migrant workers so that they do not feel abandoned and walk alone.
"The state must be present in the protection of PMI so that they do not feel that they are walking alone, but are accompanied by a system that protects, empowers, and voices their aspirations," Meutya said in an official broadcast on Monday, December 15.
The Minister of Communication and Information also mentioned that from January to mid-December 2025, the government followed up on more than 300 reports of fictitious job vacancies and illegal practices targeting SMEs.
"We are doing it faster and more massive to take down content that deceives, exploits, and misleads our migrant workers," he continued.

Meutya said that preventing fraud from the beginning keeps the income of the PMI to the family and has a direct impact on the national economy.
In addition, Meutya added, the government has also prepared practical digital literacy for PMI and families in the country to help recognize online fraud, protect personal data, and choose official information channels.
