Breaking Through Difficult Terrain, Darul Aman Cares to Distribute Humanitarian Trust to Isolated Areas of Aceh Tamiang
JAKARTA - In the midst of grief and wounds that are still etched by the natural disaster that hit Aceh Tamiang, a glimmer of hope came from Darul Aman Islamic Boarding School, Makassar City, South Sulawesi.
Through DarulAmanPeduli, the social unit of PesantrenDarulAman, the trust of donations from donors finally reached the hands of our brothers and sisters who were affected by the disaster.
Alhamdulillah, DarulAmanPeduli is present and takes part in this humanitarian mission by distributing assistance directly to the affected areas, especially areas that have been difficult for volunteers to reach.
This humanitarian activity is the result of collaboration between DarulAmanPeduli and a number of social institutions from the City of Makassar, as a tangible manifestation of brotherhood and national solidarity.
The distribution of this assistance, as stated in a written statement received by VOI, was led directly by the Director of Darul Aman Pesantren, Ustadz H. M. Yusuf Mantasya, Lc. With great concern, he and his team of volunteers traveled through the affected areas to ensure that the assistance was actually received by the people in need.
"This is our small effort to convey love, prayers, and concern to our brothers and sisters of the same nation and homeland who are being tested with great disasters," said Ustadz Yusuf on the sidelines of the distribution of aid, from December 10 - 14, 2025.
Before heading to the disaster location in Aceh Tamiang, the Darul Aman Peduli team first shopped for the community's basic needs in Medan City. Various vital needs were collected and loaded into one full truck, including rice, eggs, instant noodles, bottled drinking water, cooking oil, tarpaulins, prayer clothes, blankets, water tanks, and generators for the community's emergency needs.
The assistance was then distributed to several points in Aceh Tamiang Regency, especially areas that had not been touched by volunteer assistance.
Not only that, DarulAmanPeduli also distributed basic food assistance to one of the pesantren that was the most severely affected, namely Al Hidayah Sidodadi Pesantren, which was reported to have suffered up to 90 percent damage.
The presence of DarulAmanPeduli was greeted with tears by the community and the pesantren. In the midst of limitations and feelings of loss, this assistance became a reinforcement that they were not alone in facing this difficult test.
The founder of Darul Aman Pesantren, Ahmad Sahal, emphasized his commitment to continue to be present in every humanitarian call, strengthening the value of social concern, and making pesantren a center of good movement for the nation and the nation.
"Hopefully every rupiah that is collected, every step taken, and every assistance provided will be a charity for donors and bring blessings and strength to our brothers and sisters in Aceh Tamiang," said Ahmad Sahal.
