BANDUNG - The Bandung Religious Court (PA) has confirmed the divorce lawsuit filed by a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Golkar Party Faction, Atalia Praratya, against her husband, former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil.

The Panitera PA Bandung Dede Supriadi said the divorce lawsuit case had been officially registered and is currently entering the initial stage of the trial.

"The information is true, the case has been entered and will be tried this week," Dede said when confirmed in Bandung, Antara, Monday, December 15.

He explained that the divorce lawsuit was filed by Atalia Praratya through her lawyer. The court has scheduled the first hearing which will be held this week.

However, the Bandung PA is not yet willing to reveal in detail the lawsuit materials and the registered case number.

"I forgot the case number, but it is clear that the lawsuit has been registered and the first trial is scheduled in the near future," said Dede.

Dede emphasized that the Bandung Religious Court would facilitate the legal process professionally and confidentially in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations.
