The condition of rust on the billboard frame was assessed to be high risk, especially in the midst of increasing rainfall and strong winds towards the end of the year.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Satpol PP, Satriadi Gunawan, said that the discipline was carried out as a preventive measure to avoid potential disturbances to public safety and order that could threaten public safety.

"Advertisements with unsuitable construction conditions can endanger the safety of residents around them if they collapse or are damaged during extreme weather," said Satriadi, Monday, December 15.

Satriadi emphasized that the control and supervision of billboards requires cross-regional cooperation. According to him, technical inspections of the feasibility of billboard construction must be carried out regularly so that potential dangers can be anticipated from the start.

"Cross-OPD cooperation is very needed, especially in technical aspects such as construction feasibility examination, so that potential dangers can be prevented before causing casualties or losses," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Safety and Order of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Satpol PP, Daniel Soalon Hutajulu, said that the regulation of dangerous billboards was not only carried out in one location. He said, Satpol PP had scheduled a crackdown in a number of other points.

He explained that throughout December 2025, the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP will discipline eight billboards that are considered dangerous in various areas of Jakarta. These locations are prioritized because they have a high level of risk.

"This crackdown is expected to minimize the potential for accidents and provide a sense of security for the community. Satpol PP DKI Jakarta also appeals to the organizers of the billboards to routinely carry out maintenance and ensure the feasibility of the construction of the owned billboards," he added.
