235 Drones Intercepted Overnight, Ukrainian UAVs Still Broke into Russian Oil Depot Explosions
JAKARTA - The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, December 14, claimed that its military had intercepted 235 drones or UAVs belonging to Ukraine throughout the night.
Citing Reuters, Sunday, December 14, the interception attempt was through an air defense system that worked overnight from December 13-14.
A regional governor said a Ukrainian drone attack penetrated Uryupinsk, Volgograd Oblast, causing a Russian oil depot in the area to explode.
Drone debris was also found falling at the scene.
According to the aviation regulator, as a result of the Ukrainian drone attack, at least ten Russian airports, including in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, imposed temporary flight restrictions throughout the night.
