KA Lokal Batara Kresna jadi Favorit Warga Solo-Wonogiri, Tarifnya Rp4.000

JAKARTA - The Batara Kresna Local Train is increasingly becoming a favorite of Solo residents to Wonogiri as an affordable short-distance transportation mode. With a fare of only Rp. 4,000, this local train serves the daily mobility of the community while offering a relaxing travel experience with a holiday feel.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI recorded that from January to November 2025, the Batara Kresna Local Train had served 162,451 customers. This number increased by 44.53 percent compared to the same period in 2024 which reached 112,398 customers.

KAI Corporate Communication VP Anne Purba said this increase reflects the high public interest in local train services that are economical and easily accessible.

"KA Lokal Batara Kresna serves the Purwosari-Solo Kota-Sukoharjo-Pasarnguter-Wonogiri route with a fare of Rp. 4,000. This journey takes customers across urban areas to rural areas with rice fields and the atmosphere of Central Java," he said in an official statement, Sunday, December 14.

Anne said this train operates two trips per day (PP) and serves regular and scheduled trips.

"Local KA Batara Kresna tickets can be purchased through Access by KAI, the official KAI application for booking train tickets," he said.

In addition to supporting mobility, this service also contributes to local economic movement along the track.

Sukoharjo is an access to the local trade area and culinary center, Pasarnguter is known for its agricultural-based economic activities and small businesses, while Wonogiri offers the potential for natural tourism and typical culinary such as tiwul rice which is attached to the identity of the region.

Anne said the presence of the Batara Kresna Local Train has an important role in supporting regional connectivity.

"KA Lokal Batara Kresna is part of the Solo-Wonogiri regional connectivity that is affordable and close to community activities," concluded Anne.
