Admitting to being wasteful because of expensive hobbies, Kiesha Alvaro is willing to have her mother Okie hold her ATM to buy a house

JAKARTA - Young actor Kiesha Alvaro is candid about his financial management which turns out to be still closely supervised by his mother, Okie Agustina.

On one occasion, the son of Pasha Ungu confirmed the news that his main ATM card was held by his mother. This has been going on for the last five years, precisely since 2020.

This decision was not taken without reason. Kiesha realized that she had an impulsive nature that was difficult to control if she held large amounts of money. He admitted that he was often tempted to buy hobby items that were not cheap, ranging from Kamen Rider belts to chess and billiard equipment that could cost tens of millions of rupiah.

"I realize that I am wasteful. Especially guys who have strange hobbies, right. I like Kamen Rider, I bought a belt for a few million. Suddenly I like chess, I buy all kinds," said Kiesha in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Friday, December 12.

He is concerned that if he holds full control over his finances, his main priority will be ignored for the sake of momentary pleasure.

By handing over the ATM to Okie Agustina, Kiesha felt that her finances were more directed. He wants to ensure that his monthly obligations, such as driver salaries, household assistants, to daily meal costs, are safely under control. According to him, it is better for his mother to secure the money than to spend it on less important things.

Even so, Kiesha still has her own money. She explained the system for dividing her salary, where a certain percentage of her income was transferred to her personal account for daily needs such as gasoline and pocket money. So, she didn't have to ask her mother for small expenses or basic money.

However, for spending outside the daily budget, Kiesha still has to ask for permission and report to her mother. He admitted that he did not mind the reporting system, even if it was only a small amount. For him, transparency with parents actually saved him from the habit of being wasteful.

"If I hold it myself, I don't control the money, it's over. Because it has happened. Money can be, for example, two digits, then suddenly buy billiards for tens of millions. There are always impulsive things I do," said the 20-year-old actor.

The main goal of this tightening of the belt is Kiesha's dream of buying a house for herself. Currently, she is in the process of saving and looking for suitable properties.

He has even targeted the Bogor area as the location of his future residence, avoiding the hustle and bustle of Jakarta which he considers too crowded.

Kiesha emphasized that she did not want to force herself to do business or invest in various things before having her own house. For him, having a private residence without living with others is an absolute priority before stepping into the business investment level.

"What is certain is that it is first. If you already have a house, you have settled, you can only use the money for business more comfortably," he explained.
