JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto directly reviewed Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, today. Prabowo wants to ensure the acceleration of handling people affected by disasters after returning from abroad.
President Prabowo Subianto is known to have just completed an official state visit to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, December 10 and headed straight for Aceh.
"So, today, Mr. President, on his return from an overseas trip, this is the second day he has visited our brothers who were affected by the disaster a few days ago," said Secretary of State (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi through a video statement, Saturday, December 13.
Prasetyo said Prabowo's presence at the disaster-affected location was also aimed at providing direct support to the people. "He wants to continue to ensure the acceleration of handling, recovery, and rehabilitation of our brothers and sisters," he said.
During his visit, Prabowo also invited his ministers. "There is a Minister of PU (Public Works), there is a Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, then there is the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief, who since the disaster occurred until today have all become the front line in helping our community," said Prasetyo.
"This also proves that the President really wants to give the best, give the best support. All forces are deployed to help our brothers and sisters who are affected by disasters," he continued.
Prasetyo said Prabowo also held a limited meeting. In this activity, Christmas and New Year preparations were also discussed.
"So at the same time, besides wanting to ensure that this disaster handling can be carried out as well as possible as soon as possible, he also held a meeting to prepare for Nataru," he explained.
