Sido Muncul Donates Additional Rp500 Million for Victims of the Sumatra Disaster

JAKARTA - Director of PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO), Irwan Hidayat, attended the "Meeting of Philanthropists and the World of Business Care for Sumatra" held by the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia at the Aneka Bhakti Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 10.

During the forum, Irwan handed over an additional donation of Rp500 million for disaster victims in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. This additional support complements Sido Muncul's previous assistance, which reached Rp900 million on December 2, 2025.

At that time, the company channeled donations through 13 institutions, ranging from Kodam Iskandar Muda, Kodam I Bukit Barisan, Kodam XX Tuanku Imam Bonjol, PMI, BPOM, IDI, the Archdiocese of Jakarta, to the Police Human Resources in three provinces.

Kemensos recorded a donation of Rp196,374,791,493. With the new contribution from Sido Muncul, the total assistance increased to Rp196,874,791,493.

The regional government will manage and spend the assistance according to the needs on the ground because they are considered to understand the conditions of their respective regions.

Irwan also touched on the importance of national independence in the face of disasters. According to him, the government's decision not to accept foreign aid has become an impetus for Indonesia to become more independent.
