PERURI Provides Quick Response Assistance for Disaster Victims in Sumatra
PERURI provides logistical assistance to victims of flash floods and landslides that hit a number of areas in Sumatra at the end of November and early December 2025. The disasters that occurred in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra have caused severe damage to residents' homes and affected thousands of people.
The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that as of December 10, 2025, there were more than 5,000 people affected. As a form of rapid response to this disaster, PERURI channeled logistical assistance to support the fulfillment of basic needs for victims, as well as accelerating the post-disaster recovery process.
Assistance is being distributed to various points in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. In Aceh, assistance is distributed to three main posts: Aceh Tamiang, Meunasah Mancang in Meurah Dua District and Gampong Rhieng Krueng in Meureudu District, Pidie Jaya Regency. In North Sumatra, assistance was received at the Office of the Mayor of Sibolga and Tapanuli Tengah which serves as the main post for handling disasters. Meanwhile, in West Sumatra, assistance is focused on the Mushalla Albarkah Rimbo Panjang Refugee Post, Batu Busuk and Arsyina Lubuk Alung Post, Padang Pariaman.
The assistance provided includes various logistical needs, including food, clean water, health equipment, and protection for vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly. The assistance was handed over by the Director of Finance and Risk Management, Fajar Rizki, and the PERURI team who went directly to the location.
"The handover of this assistance is the result of solid cooperation between management and all PERURI employees. We believe that this contribution is very meaningful in providing the right support and according to the needs of the affected citizens. We are committed to continue to provide maximum assistance to those in need," said Fajar Rizki.
This activity not only involves the TJSL team, but also a solid collaboration between the Extra Organ of the company (Peruri STARS), subsidiaries, labor unions, and employees who also play an active role in fundraising and distributing assistance.
For several days, PERURI management and employees enthusiastically participated in distributing assistance to affected locations, including the delivery of assistance to affected employee families, as part of a solid contribution to alleviate the burden borne by disaster victims.
