Aksesmu Mengalir Support for Aceh-North Sumatra-West Sumatra Disaster Victims

TANGERANG - Aksesmu releases humanitarian assistance for disaster-affected communities in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The assistance is a form of corporate concern as well as support for the disaster handling program initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development (Kemenko IPK) together with the Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (APRINDO). As a member of APRINDO, Aksesmu takes an active role in helping the recovery of communities in affected areas.

The release of assistance was carried out in Tangerang and was attended by Aksesmu's Operations Director, Yosef Risdianto. Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), was also present and symbolically released the departure of 19 aid trucks from APRINDO members, including from Aksesmu. APRINDO was represented by General Chairman Solihin.

In his remarks, AHY emphasized the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration to ensure that assistance reaches the affected community optimally.

"The Ministry of Coordinating Human Development and Culture coordinates with various parties, including APRINDO, to ensure that the distribution of assistance can reach areas where access is hampered. When I reviewed the location of the disaster, many roads could not be passed by trucks because of damage. Therefore, we lowered heavy equipment and emergency infrastructure facilities so that access could be opened," said AHY.

He added that the government would accelerate the recovery and repair of basic infrastructure in the affected areas so that assistance and the recovery process for the community could run more effectively.

Assistance from Aksesmu includes food, drinks, household needs, baby diapers, and various other basic needs. All assistance is prioritized to meet the urgent needs of families affected by disasters.

Aksesmu Operations Director, Yosef Risdianto, emphasized that this contribution is a manifestation of his company's commitment to supporting the national humanitarian mission.

"Your access has only been running for three years, but we believe that as part of the Indonesian retail ecosystem, we have a moral responsibility to help when disasters occur. We hope that this support can ease the burden on people in Sumatra," he said.

Yosef also assessed that the synergy between the government and the business world is the key to distributing assistance quickly and accurately.

"Your access will continue to support the government's steps and actively contribute to various social programs that provide direct benefits to the community," he added.

Aksesmu hopes that the assistance sent will provide real support for the affected community and be part of the wider recovery process in Sumatra.
