Mendikdasmen Upaya Bangun Sekolah Terrusak Terdampak Bencana Mulai Februari 2026

JAKARTA - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti seeks the construction of schools damaged by floods and landslides in the areas of Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and West Sumatra (West Sumatra) to begin in February 2026.

Currently, his party continues to collect data related to all schools affected by natural disasters in the three provinces along with the scale of the damage.

"Now we have collected the data, hopefully in February 2026 we will start the construction of damaged schools," said the Minister of Education and Culture in an interview with the Podcast Team Antara TV in Jakarta, Friday, December 12.

Mendikdasmen mengatakan pihaknya saat ini sudah membuat tiga skenario pembelajaran darurat dengan mengelompokkan skala kerusakan sekolah-sekolah yang terdampak bencana alam tersebut.

One of the scenarios is emergency learning for 0-3 months for affected schools, but still has several suitable classrooms to organize teaching and learning activities.

In such school conditions, his party applies an alternating learning system (shift) while his party repairs damage to the school.

While the second scenario is emergency learning for 3-12 months, and the third scenario is emergency learning up to 3 years for schools that experience severe damage and even collapse completely.

"Because if there are schools that have collapsed completely, new buildings will take a long time, of course. Some even have to relocate. This means that new buildings are in a new location, now finding the land takes time too," he said.
