Persib And Dewa United's Performance Opens Kans Indonesia Has More Representatives In The Asian Champions League 2

JAKARTA - Indonesia has a chance to send more representatives in the Champions League Asia 2 (AFC Champions League Two) for the 2027/2028 season.

This assurance was obtained thanks to Persib Bandung's impressive performance in the Asian 2 Champions League and Dewa United in the AFC Challenge League which both qualified from the group stage this season.

The slot appeared consisting of one ticket qualifying directly for the final round and another ticket to the playoffs. The two tickets will be obtained by Indonesia in the 2027/2028 Asian Champions League 2 season, not next season or 2026/2027.

This achievement could not be separated from the performance of Persib and Dewa United who contributed points so that Indonesia's ranking in Asian competition ranking was also controlled.

Reporting from Footy Ranking, Indonesia's position now exceeds Cambodia. However, next season Indonesia's quota in the second level tournament of clubs throughout Asia is still one, namely through the playoffs. The reason is that two seasons ago Indonesian representatives could not do much.

However, Indonesia has not been able to send representatives to the Asian Elite Champions League. However, the hope of going there can actually be opened if Persib can penetrate the final round, especially until the Asian Champions League 2 champions.

Currently Persib has qualified for the last 16 of the Asian Champions League 2 as winners of Group G. Meanwhile, Dewa United has secured a ticket to the last eight of the Asia Challenge League 2025/2026.

In the last eight, Dewa United will face the representative of the Philippines, Maniladigger. This match will take place on March 5 and 12, 2026.

Meanwhile, Persib, who qualify as group winners, will face runner-up teams from other groups. The draw for the last 16 of the Asian League Champions 2 will take place on December 30, 2025.
