Ukraine Attacks 2 Russian Ships Transporting Military Equipment In The Kaspia Sea
JAKARTA - The Ukrainian special forces said on Friday 12 December they had carried out an attack on two Russian ships carrying weapons and military equipment in the Kaspia Sea.
Reuters reported that it was announced by Ukrainian special forces on Telegram without explaining the chronology and when the attack occurred or how much damage it was.
Ukrainian special forces named the ships Composer Rakhmaninoff and Askar-Sarydzha. They claim the ships have been sanctioned by the US for carrying military cargo between Iran and Russia.
The attack took place off the coast of the Republic of Kalmykia, a Russian territory.
Earlier, a Ukrainian official on Thursday said his military drone had attacked a Russian oil platform in the Kaspia Sea for the first time, crippling oil and gas extraction from about 20 wells.
