Tumbang Tree Until Traffic Diversion Friday Evening, Transjakarta Diverts These Routes
JAKARTA A number of Transjakarta services experienced route diversions on a number of services on Friday evening which coincided with busy hours returning from work in Jakarta.
Sejak pukul 17.30 WIB, operasional bus rapid transit (BRT), bus kecil, hingga Microtrans terkena imbas cuaca dan kondisi lalu lintas yang tidak kondusif di beberapa titik Ibu Kota.
Head of the Public Relations and CSR Transjakarta Department, Ayu Wardhani, stated that the disturbance occurred due to a combination of fallen trees, floods, and road closures by the authorities. This situation forces route adjustments in a number of services, both the main corridor and the feeder fleet.
"This accident was caused by a combination of various factors, including incidents of fallen trees, floods, as well as traffic diversion and lane closures by the authorities," Ayu said in a statement, Friday, December 12.
In main corridor services, the biggest impact occurred on a number of routes crossing the central government area.
The BRT 2 route had to be shortened and diverted through Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan and Jalan Kunir towards Pantai Indah Kapuk. City Hall, Gambir 2 and Bus Stop Salakota stops do not serve customers temporarily.
Routes 6A and 6B to Ragunan are also affected by the closure of the route in Medan Merdeka Selatan. The two routes only operate until the Kebon Sirih Bus Stop and do not serve City Hall Bus Stops.
The BRT 9 route also experienced route cuts due to obstacles on the route due to fallen trees. Meanwhile, the 6T route was completely stopped due to traffic diversion.
The puddles that appear on several residential and crossing roads also affect the operation of the Microtrans or JakLingko fleet.
The JAK.10 (60) microtrans was diverted due to flooding as high as about 80 centimeters in the Bukit Duri area. Routes JAK.71 and JAK.57 also experienced diversion due to flooding on Jalan Hejdih in the direction of Ng Rambutan and Jalan Haji Ali.
In addition to weather factors, a number of points are also affected by project work and other technical obstacles. The BRT 1 route stopped operating from 15.50 WIB because the route was affected by project/trolleytech work. The Dukuh Atas bus stop cannot serve passengers.
Several Microtrans routes such as JAK.23, JAK.86, JAK.80, and JAK.90 were diverted due to fallen trees on Jalan Narada, Anggra Rawamangun, General Pad Ancol Barat 4, and Jalan Kunir.
"We apologize for the inconvenience experienced by customers. The team in the field continues to coordinate with various parties to ensure that the service recovery is carried out as soon as possible," said Ayu.
"Customers are advised to adjust the travel schedule and find alternative routes," he said.
