Babel Police Deploy 1,600 Personnel To Order Illegal Mines
PANGKALPINANG - Regional Police (Polda) Bangka Belitung Islands deployed 1,600 personnel to curb illegal mining, so that tin ore mining can be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
"This operation is orderly so that the mining process can be carried out properly and correctly," said Babel Police Chief Inspector General Viktor T. Sihombing in Pangkalpinang, Friday, December 12, as reported by ANTARA.
Dlam Operation Tertib Tambang Menumbing 2025, Polda Kepulauan Babel mengerpat 1,600 personi dan dibantu stekholder lainnya seperti TNI, pemerintah daerah dan instansi terkait lainnya mengentibkan tambang-tambang tanpa izin ini.
"If these natural resources are managed properly and correctly, of course, they will produce positive things for local governments and the community, but if the process is wrong, of course the opposite will be obtained," he said.
According to him, natural disasters that are now occurring are due to mining processes or the use of natural resources that are not good or violate the applicable regulations.
"To ensure that this mining process is carried out properly, we together with other stakeholders carry out mining order. How can mines have permits or are illegal to be monitored so that the implementation runs according to the rules and the results are beneficial for the community," he said.
He stated that in this mining order operation, the police would carry out all stages, both prevention, prosecution and counseling to the mining community in this area.
"We have mapped the mining areas and this has become the object and target of this orderly mining operation," he said.
