Sumedang Police Chief AKBP Sandityo Mahardika said the determination of the suspect was based on the results of laboratory tests which stated that he was positive for using methamphetamine.
"Then the Narcotics Unit conducted an interrogation and the suspect admitted his actions. Then a urine test was carried out which stated that the suspect was positive for methamphetamine," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 12.
Earlier on Wednesday, the police received a report from social media regarding a drug abuse case by a village head so that his party immediately secured Sarip Wahyudi at the Cinta Mulya Village Office on the same day.
The police then conducted an examination until it was discovered that the village head had known methamphetamine narcotics since 2012 and has been active as a user in recent years.
The suspect admitted that he obtained the narcotics for free from a person with the initials F who is currently in the process of being investigated.
