Join the film "Ahlan Singapore", Kiesha Alvaro considers it a second home

JAKARTA - Kiesha Alvaro is back acting in a romantic film titled Ahlan Singapore. Thanks to this film, he feels he is back home.

"It's definitely fun because Singapore can be said to be the 2nd country because every holiday there, even 2x a week," said Kiesha Alvaro at a film press conference in South Jakarta on Friday, December 12.

"Especially shooting in a place where my late grandmother went to Merlion," he added.

In this film, Kiesha plays the role of Liam, a student who has long settled in Singapore. He helps Aisyah (played by Rebecca Klopper) who is a new student at his campus.

"NUS (National University of Singapore) is my dream campus just because I'm not very smart, I didn't pass it so I went there to shoot," he explained.

"Special shout out to Rebecca because she is Aisyah, because their similarities are lovable with her presence alone can make people fall in love with them," said Kiesha again.

Kiesha also displayed her ability to accentuate Sing-lish (Singapore English) to deepen her character. She was helped by actress Dwynna Win who also played in this film.

"50% of my character is the result of my hard work and Dwynna. Dwynna also became my bridge to not be open to Rebecca (to explore Liam's character)," added Kiesha Alvaro.

Ahlan Singapore tells the story of Aisyah (Rebecca Klopper), an Indonesian student who studies in Singapore, but is faced with a dilemma when faced with two people who like her.

The film Ahlan Singapore will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting February 5, 2026.
