Repair Completed, Krueng Meureudu Pidie Jaya Bridge Now Can Be Crossed By Vehicles

BANDA ACEH - Aceh National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) stated that the Krueng Meureudu Bridge had reopened on Friday. The bridge was previously badly damaged by flooding in the area.

'Temporary handling of the operational damage to the Krueng Meureudu Bridge has been carried out. Thank God, the bridge has started to be functional and has been reopened since today," said PPK 1.2 Aceh National Road Implementation Center (BPJN), Rita Marleni in Banda Aceh, Friday, December 12.

He explained that the road access closure was carried out because the bridge oprit was damaged and repairs have now been made.

Oprit Jembatan Krueng Meureudu is located on Jalan Meureudu Pidie Jaya, which is an important route connecting Bireuen Regency.

Previously, BPJN Aceh carried out a number of handlings, such as hoarding bridge oprit and installing boulder stones to accelerate the recovery of access to the East Cross Aceh national route.

Pada Kamis (4/12), progres penanganan dilaporkan telah mencapai 25 persen, dengan estimasi waktu pengerjaan sekitar 10 hari.

In addition, BPJN Aceh has also completed cleaning the Krueng Meureudu Bridge short road from the thick mud left over from the flash flood.
