Prabowo Shares Toys To Review Health Posts In Aceh Tamiang

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto distributed toys to children to review health services for affected residents, while directly reviewing disaster management in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh.

Reported by ANTARA, the helicopter carrying the Head of State arrived at Bima Patra Bukit Rata Football Field, Aceh Tamiang Regency after taking off from the Soewondo Air Force Base, Medan City.

From the helipad, the President and his entourage went straight to the evacuation post at the Aceh Tamiang Bridge.

Along the way, it was clear that traces of the disaster left damage at a number of points, including the presence of mud deposits on roads and trees that dried up due to flash floods.

"I came according to my promise, at that time Tamiang was still cut off. It was cut off. When did it break? How many days ago? A week ago, yes. I promised to see him," said the President, Friday, December 12.

Arriving at the evacuation post, President Prabowo was greeted with the enthusiasm of the children who welcomed the song, "Welcome, Mr." After that, President Prabowo headed to the health post which was providing medical services to affected residents.

To residents who are receiving treatment, the President also asked about the complaints he felt and prayed for residents to be healthy again. Not only that, but the Head of State also had a dialogue with the health workers who were on duty.

After reviewing the health post, the President then visited residential areas under the bridge affected by the disaster.

From this point, President Prabowo saw firsthand the houses of residents who were damaged by thick mud deposits. Not only that, pieces of wood, building debris, and household items that were dragged by the water were also seen.

In the refugee camp, the Head of State was warmly welcomed by the children who approached the President to meet and shake hands. The President also responded to the warmth of the children by hugging, carrying, and even kissing the children's foreheads.

In a number of photos received, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya appears to have distributed toys to children at the location. Residents also expressed their gratitude before the President left the refugee camp.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere of the city around the affected area is also a concern of the President. The dried clay turned most of the road's surface into dusty, while thick dust layers were still attached to the walls of residents' houses and vehicles.
