Emergency Bridge In Nagan Raya Can Be Crossed By Motoor

Spokesperson for the Aceh Hydrometeorological Disaster Emergency Response Command Post, Murtalamuddin, reported that the emergency bridge in Beutong, Nagan Raya Regency can be passed by two-wheeled vehicles.

"Alhamdulillah, the Beutong emergency bridge can be passed by two-wheeled vehicles," said Murthalamuddin, in Banda Aceh, Friday, December 12, as reported by ANTARA.

Previously, the main bridge of Beutong Ateuh Banggalang was cut off by Bandang and landslides in the local area, so that public access was cut off.

The bridge is a transportation link between Nagan Raya Regency and Central Aceh Regency.

While repairing the damaged main bridge, in order to accelerate the opening of connectivity, the Aceh National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) then built a temporary bridge, and now two-wheeled vehicles can be passed.

Murthala said, after the temporary bridge can be passed by two-wheeled vehicles, currently many people from Central Aceh are starting to return to trade to Nagan Raya to Meulaboh, West Aceh.

"Many people of Central Aceh sell chilies to Nagan Raya and Meulaboh," he said.

Not only commercial, continued Murthala, people from the central region of Aceh also started buying foodstuffs to Nagan Raya and West Aceh after the bridge was passed.

"They (central Acehnese) shop for groceries in Meulaboh and Nagan Raya, generally they bring rice when they return to Takengon," said Murthala.
