Prabowo Invites Children Who Are Victims Of Aceh Floods To Stay Enthusiastic: Go To School Again Everyone

ACEH TAMIANG - President Prabowo Subianto asked children affected by flash floods in Aceh to remain steadfast and enthusiastic so that they can return to school immediately. The President conveyed the message while directly observing the refugees in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Friday, December 12.

"Strengthened children, who are enthusiastic. We will quickly return so that all children can go to school quickly," Prabowo said in a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube from Jakarta, quoted via Antara.

Prabowo fulfilled his promise to return to visit residents affected by flash floods in Aceh. He said that the government had taken various steps to accelerate disaster management.

On his first visit after the disaster, Prabowo said that the road access to Aceh Tamiang was still cut off. Now, the route can be passed so that the distribution of aid runs more smoothly.

The President emphasized that the government will continue to help until the recovery process is complete. He also apologized if there were still areas that had not received maximum assistance.

"The government will go down to help everyone. I'm sorry if there are still people who haven't. We are working hard," Prabowo said.

During the visit, Prabowo was accompanied by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Previously, after state visits in Pakistan and Russia, Prabowo and the ranks of ministers continued their journey to Medan City. The President is scheduled to monitor a number of areas affected by flash floods and landslides and chair a coordination meeting for disaster management in three provinces: Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

The President's plane landed at Kualanamu International Airport at around 02.00 WIB. From Medan, the group immediately moved to Aceh Tamiang, visited the evacuation post of the Tamiang River Bridge, then left for Central Aceh.

The next agenda is to review the Takengon refugee post and the SMP Negeri 2 Wih Pesam post, Bener Meriah Regency.
