Indonesia U-23 Vs Myanmar Schedule At The 2025 SEA Games: Mission Must Win Big

JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team will undergo a decisive match to qualify for the 2025 SEA Games semifinals against Myanmar.

The U-23 Indonesian national team will try to rise after a 0-1 defeat to the Philippines in the inaugural match. They also had to fight for an important victory against Myanmar at the 700th Anniversary Stadium, Tokyo Mai, on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 18.00 WIB.

The situation in Myanmar ahead of this match is also not much different from the U-23 Indonesian national team which lost the first match. They lost 0-2 against the Philippines.

Will face Myanmar in the decisive match, the U-23 Indonesian national team coach, Indra Sjafri, said he would play attacking in order to aim for a quick goal.

"What is clear is that we will start the preparation program against Myanmar. We certainly hope that there will be good things to qualify from this group stage. We will recover after that we will make preparations. Yes, there is still time against Myanmar."

"The first match was tough, because they (the Philippines) came with their first win (against Myanmar). The Philippines played quite well."

"The good thing we might have to do is how the players are, because we need a win, we will prepare players with more attacking game plans," said Indra Sjafri after the match against the Philippines.

The U-23 Indonesian national team was in a difficult position. However, the defeat suffered by Malaysia and Singapore on Thursday, December 11, 2025, made Garuda Muda's hopes of qualifying again appear.

Malaysia lost 0-2 to Vietnam in the final match of Group B, while Singapore was confirmed to be eliminated after being beaten 0-3 by Thailand in Group A on the same day.
