Diva Renatta Ends Indonesia's 22 Years Of Waiting At SEA Games
JAKARTA The athletic athlete Diva Renatta Jayadi managed to end Indonesia's wait for 22 years after becoming the best in the women's pole vault event at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games.
Diva has the right to take home the gold medal from the biennial multi-pronged sporting event after performing brilliantly with a jump as high as 4.35 meters, a record that broke national records and the SEA Games.
"This is Diva's best achievement during his appearance at the SEA Games. The SEA Games record was broken, the national record was also corrected again in his previous name at 4.30 meters," said Mustara as Head of the Development and Manager of the Athletics National Team for the All-Indonesian Athletics Association (PB PASI).

Diva became the first Indonesian athlete in 22 years to win gold in the women's pole vault at the SEA Games.
The last time Indonesia triumphed in this number was through Ni Putu Desi Margawati at the SEA Games Hanoi 2003 with a jump of 3.95 meters.
The silver medal in the women's pole vault was won by Thai athletes after posting a jump of 4.05 meters, while the bronze medal was won together by Indonesian athletes, Maria A. Melabessy, and representatives of Thailand who each recorded a jump of 3.90 meters.
"This Diva achievement is also the best after being won by Ni Putu Desi 22 years ago at the Hanoi SEA Games," said Mustara.
Indonesia has so far collected 13 gold medals plus one from mixed fighting sports that are not included in the medal standings because they still have the status of exhibitions.
The 2025 SEA Games will last until December 20. Indonesia sent 1,021 athletes with a target of getting 80 gold medals to pursue third place in the final standings.
