The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation ensures that all airports in Indonesia are ready to face a surge in passengers during the Christmas and New Year 2026 holidays.

Lukman said the inspection was focused on the air side including runways, taxiways, aprons, visual aids, electricity systems, emergency services, to drainage, as well as land side facilities such as passenger terminals.
