Indonesian Cano Team Donates Medals At SEA Games 2025, Next Targeting Asian Games And Olympics
JAKARTA - The Indonesian canoe team has again added gold medal coffers at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games. The pair Stevani Maysche Ibo and Subhi, who entered the mixed number like a double 200 m, successfully finished in the first position ahead of the other six participants.
Stevani Subhi recorded a time of 36.409 seconds in the match which took place at the Royal Thai Navy Canoe and Rowing Training Center, Chonburi, Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Vietnam took second place with a time of 37.397 seconds, followed by Singapore in third place with a record of 38.290 seconds.
Subhi explained that the wind and waves are the main challenges in this race. With field preparations that are only carried out for one week, they must set a strategy carefully.
"Today's speed, power, we take everything out as much as possible. Our strategy, from the start to survive, entering the center starts to push, and in the last 100 meters we have added power again."
"We are happy and proud to be proud of the country and team. Our next target is to qualify for the Olympics (2028)," said Subhi.

Then, one bronze medal was contributed by the trio Sofiyanto, Roby Kuswandi, and Evans Monim in the men's canoe double 200 m.
