President Prabowo Calls Prince MBS Bahas Kampung Haji Indoonesia
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto and Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) discussed the continuation of the plan to build Indonesian Hajj Village in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The discussion was carried out by telephone.
President Prabowo called the Crown Prince of MBS, who is also the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Wednesday (10/12) night, on the sidelines of President Prabowo's visit in Moscow, Russia.
"President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS discussed the continuation of the plan to build a Hajj village which includes the determination of the location, construction process, and facilities that will be prepared, which will later be intended for pilgrims from Indonesia," said Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 11.
Saudi Arabia's Saudi Arabia Press Agency also reported telephone talks between President Prabowo and Crown Prince of MBS.
"Her Majesty Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a call from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. Through the telephone line, the two leaders discussed and discussed ways to support cooperation between the two countries," read the news from the Saudi Press Agency.
In the same telephone line, the Crown Prince of MBS also offered his condolences to President Prabowo and all Indonesian people who were affected by the flash floods and landslides on November 25, 2025.
"Indonesia is a big country and its leader is a strong President in dealing with any conditions," Prince MBS told President Prabowo as conveyed again by Seskab Teddy.
Regarding the construction of the Hajj village, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has welcomed and supported President Prabowo's plan. The current process, the Government of Indonesia, through the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) is participating in an auction to buy targeted land, which will become the location of the Indonesian pilgrims' Hajj village.
CEO of Danantara Rosan Perkasa Roeslani on December 2, 2025 revealed that the land targeted by Indonesia is in the Eastern Hindawiyah area. Rosan said Danantara was included in the list of the top three bidders who had the opportunity to be elected. The winner of the auction will be announced in mid-December 2025.
"Let's pray. Hopefully, the hope of the establishment of this Hajj village can run and we can carry it out in the future," said Rosan.
